I will begin by underscoring the importance of male feminists. As you mention, sometimes it’s too draining and it hurts too much for me to confront misogyny in cisgendered men. Your role is valuable because you can interact with people in ways that I cannot. But I fear that you are missing a crucial point. I am not incapable of interacting with cisgendered men; however, because of my perceived status as a woman, things that I say are often lost to their ears. If a man is so misogynistic that he makes blatantly repulsive statements, chances are, he also won’t listen to me when I speak.
